MSM: Fake News Inc. : 2
THE EDITOR
If the mainstream media succeeds in banning fake news, it will be committing suicide. |
- James Bruen |
No sooner had Donald J. Trump been sworn in as the 45th President of the United States of America, than he made a decisive statement of intent. Even before his prompt defunding of International Planned Parenthood drew first blood in his pro-life offensive against the genocidal Culture of Death, he flagged his continued determination to face down the propagandists for the pagan New World Order: the mainstream media [MSM]. Ironically, he did so at the HQ of the Central Intelligence Agency, which, as highlighted last month, has the corporate MSM in its pocket!
The day after his magnificent Inaugural Address confirmed that there would be no backsliding on his campaign promise — to prise loose the globalist chokehold pressing sovereignty, freedom and hope out of the Western windpipe — President Trump addressed around 400 employees at the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.
At his first official visit to a government agency, he ripped into the media, calling journalists "dishonest" and saying that they were behind false reports about a rift with the intelligence community. (His beef is with its heavily politicised leadership, not the rank and file.)
"I have a running war with the media," he said. "They are among the most dishonest human beings on Earth. They sort of made it sound like I had a feud with the intelligence community. I just want to let you know that the reason you're the number one stop is exactly the opposite."
He gave the CIA employees two examples of this "running war." Though trifling in the grand scheme of things, the response they triggered signalled the end of MSM business as usual.
Team Trump comes out swinging!
According to Newsmax, "he attacked news reports that only 250,000 people turned out for his Friday inauguration — and a false tweet by a Time magazine reporter that the bust of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was replaced with Winston Churchill's in the Oval Office."
"They said we drew 250,000 people," Trump began. "Now, that's not bad — but it's a lie." He said the number reflected those in an immediate area around the U.S. Capitol created by law enforcement personnel. "The rest of the 20-block area, all the way back to the Washington monument was packed. We caught them — and we caught them in a beauty," he continued. "And I think they're going to pay a big price."
The Trump camp claimed that as many as 720,000 people were in the immediate inaugural area. But whatever the stats, it was a massive crowd, by any stretch, and among the largest in history. It was the desire — the journalistic reflex — to denigrate and distort that uplifting sight telecast worldwide, rather than acknowledge and appreciate it, that captures the animus of the MSM towards anything and anyone at odds with their amoral worldview and agenda.
Schooled in lockstep liberalism at prestigious training institutions like the Colombia School of Journalism, journalists evoke this malign spirit so routinely that they are inured to it; failing to perceive their ideological outlook and how it betrays a noble craft essential to healthy democracies.
The flap about Martin Luther King is a small but classic instance of this reflexive MSM rush to negativity and misrepresentation.
On inauguration day, Time magazine political reporter Zeke Miller tweeted that the bust of King — brought in by Barack Obama — had been replaced with that of the British Prime Minister. He later tweeted that he was wrong and apologised: "The MLK bust is still in the Oval Office. It was obscured by an agent and door."
White House press secretary Sean Spicer accepted the apology, tweeting: "A reminder of the media danger of tweet first check facts later."
The point, though, is that for Miller, thoroughly checking his facts was not as appealing as a negative tweet alluding to "racist" Trump. Fact-checking would have only revealed the new President in a kinder light, exposing the vicious caricature Miller preferred.
"There's a beautiful statue of Dr. Martin Luther King," Trump said at Langley referencing the false report. "I also happen to like Churchill. I think most of us like Churchill. Not from our country, but he had a lot to do with us and was a real ally. I would never do that [take away the statue] because I have great respect for Dr. Martin Luther King, but this is how dishonest the media is. I love honesty. I love honest reporting."
The same day, press secretary Spicer also gave journalists a bitter tongue lashing for their "irresponsible and reckless" Twitter coverage of the inauguration, especially amid "all the talk about the proper use of Twitter."
"Yesterday, at a time when our nation and the world watched the peaceful transition of power — and as the president said, the transfer and balance of power from Washington to the citizens of the United States — some members of the media were engaged in deliberately false reporting," Spicer said in his first session with reporters. "Photographs of the inaugural proceeding were intentionally framed in a way in one particular tweet to minimise the enormous support that had gathered on the National Mall." And he vowed: "we're going to hold the press accountable."
The next day, in a combative interview, Trump counsellor Kellyanne Conway locked horns with NBC's Meet The Press moderator, Chuck Todd, who called Sean Spicer's assertion about the inauguration attendance a "falsehood" that "undermines the credibility of the entire White House press office on day one." Ignoring the gross hypocrisy at play here (namely, the CIA-controlled NBC complaining about other people's mendacity and lack of credibility!) Conway effectively told him to cut the dramatics. But when he called Spicer's estimate a "ridiculous litigation of crowd size," she erupted.
Chuck, your job is not [to] call things ridiculous. You're a news person, not an opinion columnist… Think about what you just said to your viewers, that's why we feel compelled to go out and clear the air.
She also rebuked Todd's laughing at one point, calling it "symbolic" of the treatment meted out by the MSM:
The way you laughed at me is representative of the way we're represented by the press. We were mocked talking about the historic crowds for our campaigns. He brought in historic crowds and on great days we were ignored, and on most days we were mocked. Those crowds mattered, he built
a movement.
Elsewhere, the President's Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus, expressed similar indignation. "The point is not the crowd size," he told Fox News Sunday. "The point is the attacks and the attempt to delegitimise this president in one day. And we're not going to sit around and take it. We're going to fight back tooth and nail every day and twice on Sunday."
Breaking the pro-life blackout
Outraged by these rebukes, the haughty media naturally painted them as absurd overreactions — indicative of a dangerously thin-skinned president — as if the BBC, NBC, CNN, ABC and all the usual suspects resorting to every kind of deception to misrepresent the inauguration was no big deal (e.g., "putting out fake inauguration photos," from the moment the security gates opened, and "using time-lapse photography to cut out the middle and show people emptying out in the evening," as Alex Jones reported).
Not only were the reactions proportionate to such fraudulent MSM depictions, there is also a tactical side to this confrontational approach. By denouncing the biased media coverage, for example, and throwing out provocative soundbites on Twitter every other day (like his reasonable claim that millions of illegal aliens trucked into polls by the Democrats cost him the popular vote), President Trump sends the media into convulsions. While they are thus distracted, he is busy signing executive orders overturning Obama's toxic legacy. As Scott McKay wrote:
Any one of these [Executive Orders] would be regarded as a major policy shift on its own. Taken in concert, they represent a sea change in American government in half a week of Trump’s tenure. And yet while the media is in hysterics over the opening salvos of the new administration, it’s crowd sizes and illegal Mexicans in the polling booths that are occupying their time. ... At this rate, he’ll have the country well on its way to recovery from the Obama malaise, and the enemies in the newsrooms will have hardly noticed his actual work. [American Spectator]
Thus, the corporate-media hacks not only continue to demonise Trump, but to underestimate him. Bad mistake. They never learn. But then the sense of moral superiority that moves them to distort and dictate reality has never been challenged like this.
Unlike career politicians, who court journalists rather than antagonise them, businessman Trump does not fear the power of the press to destroy reputations. Like his pointed rebuke of the assembled Washington Establishment during his Inaugural Address, and the immediate implementation of his campaign promises, his stand against the MSM is almost too good to be true; the stuff of fiction.
Indeed, it recalls Howard Beale, the TV anchorman in the movie Network, who became a ratings sensation after he went off-message and began denouncing the corruption and injustice behind the controlled news he normally delivered. At the end of each nightly diatribe he would cry out: "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
Neither is the Trump administration "going to sit around and take it," as Reince Preibus declared. Nor should they.
Firstly, since the MSM prefer to opine than report — to manipulate and pontificate rather than inform and debate — why waste time pretending you can profitably engage and reason with them?
Second, to politely offer your chin to your sworn enemy when he comes out swinging smears on day one, would only invite further and bigger punches, followed by a quick knockout blow.
Therefore, the MSM needed an almighty slapping down — pronto. Once again Team Trump got it spot on. And we should thank them and continue to cheer them to the rafters, since they speak on our behalf. We're all Howard Beales now!
It got even better during Mr Trump's first TV interview as president. Asked by his ABC interviewer whether he "could hear the voices" from the (vulgar pro-abortion) "Women's March" on Inauguration Day, the President deflected the question before alluding to MSM bias, censorship and hypocrisy when it comes to pro-life matters. Referring to the annual March for Life, he said:
You’re gonna have a large crowd on Friday, too, which is mostly pro-life people. You’re gonna have a lot of people coming on Friday, and I will say this, and I didn’t realise this, but I was told, you will have a very large crowd of people. I don’t know – as large or larger – some people say it’s gonna be larger. Pro-life people. And they say the press doesn’t cover them.
Shaken by this reality-check, the interviewer stuttered and spluttered, "I don’t want to compare crowd sizes again. I–I–I...". But the President persisted, twisting the truthful knife: "No, you should. But let me just tell you, What you do say is that the press doesn’t cover them." Since MSM 'fact-checkers' are hardly about to check and report that disgraceful fact, let us do it for them:
For 44 long years, these huge, prayerful, overwhelmingly youthful Marches — supporting and celebrating a Culture of Life while protesting Roe v. Wade and its Culture of Death — have taken place in the capital. However, since "the press doesn't cover them," as the new President stated, they go unnoticed by the American public at large. Yet the March for Life is the largest annual civil rights demonstration in the country! Addressing the Republican Leadership Retreat the day before the March, President Trump repeated the dose:
They’ll have three hundred, four hundred, five hundred, six hundred thousand people. You won’t even read about it. When other people show up, you read big time about it. Right? So, it’s not fair. But there is nothing fair about the media. Nothing.
Last November, Curtis Houck of The Media Research Center noted that CBS and NBC dedicated three times more coverage to one neo-Nazi rally (in 2016) than they did to the last four years of the March for Life! His colleague Katie Yoder also reports that "During their morning and evening news shows, the three broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) covered the Women’s March 129 times more than they did the 2016 March for Life last year." (For good partisan measure, while these networks constantly hyped and extolled the one-off Women's March, they never mentioned its exclusion of pro-life women; or that one of its speakers, Donna Hylton, was jailed for 25 years for taking part in the kidnapping, torturing, sodomising and murder of a homosexual man; or the fact that their coverage had blurred the words on the signs carried by the marchers due to the filthy language). Yoder went on to recount other salient facts:
In 2015, only CBS mentioned the march, allotting just 15 seconds. ... In 2014, the networks devoted 46 seconds to the hundreds of thousands marching in Washington, D.C. Yet, ABC, NBC and CBS spent six times that on the National Zoo’s new panda cub and four-and-a-half times that on the Climate March. ... Since 2013, the networks have devoted just 100 seconds to the March for Life in following news shows – slightly more than they might have spent broadcasting a couple of burger ads.
These damning stats underline the magnitude of the deceit perpetrated by the MSM on the American public, and replicated worldwide. Acting like the notorious Pravda propagandists in Soviet Russia, they have air-brushed this massive annual pro-life presence and message from public sight and American minds.
So, the March for Life is emblematic of how the MSM not only misrepresents, manipulates and distorts but even renders public testimony invisible. In Europe, too, World Youth Days and pro-family/pro-life rallies involving 1,000,000+ participants, constituting some of the largest gatherings in European history, have repeatedly been wiped from public consciousness and public record. On the rare occasions they are mentioned at all, it is usually a passing reference involving gross falsification/underestimation of attendances. That such mendacity emanates from the pit of Hell itself is confirmed each time the MSM affords saturation coverage to the Sons of Sodom, whenever and wherever they cavort, no matter how paltry their numbers.
The Media Matrix
Cleansing youthful and inspirational pro-life witness from the public square is just one media ruse that perpetuates its redneck caricature of Christianity: an outmoded belief system held by 'extreme'/'intolerant'/'bigoted' adherents who tout the 'divisive' absurdity of Absolute Truth. Since the purpose of creating this alternative false reality is to safeguard from commonsense critique the oppressive atheistic ideology of the oligarchs, it is no surprise that their corporate mediacracy is disproportionately riddled with practitioners and advocates of sodomy: the pagan antithesis of Catholic faith, life and law.
Always close to bankruptcy yet wielding enough influence worldwide "to write the news it wants to see," as homosexual commentator Andrew Sullivan once put it, the New York Times embodies this pernicious influence. Its national political correspondent Richard Berke assured a homosexual gathering that the Times would remain very receptive to the 'gay' agenda because "three-fourths of those who regularly attend the daily meetings that determine what will be on the front page of the Times the next morning are 'not-so-closeted' homosexuals."
Insofar as we live and breathe within this contrived and controlled sodomitic narrative, our predicament mirrors The Matrix —the sci-fi movie trilogy in which a computer hacker discovers that all life on earth is an elaborate facade created by a malevolent cyber-intelligence, for the purpose of placating the populace, and serving The Matrix's campaign of domination in the "real" world.
In similar fashion, the malign intelligence behind the fake news that sustains the false reality of the MSM Matrix is oligarchic self-interest. As noted last month, the MSM is now overwhelmingly controlled by just half-a-dozen mega-corporations. Like the New York Times and the upper-echelons of most multinationals, these companies are in turn controlled or heavily influenced by sodomites, hence their brutal enforcement of the homosexual agenda (— see "Hoosier Hysteria: Velvet Revolution Comes to Indiana," CO, June/July & Aug/Sept 2015). Thus, the Matrix serves the venal and venereal agendas of the elite, while shoring up their corporate power structure.
... brief digression
A product of this corporate world himself, we should not be surprised that the hero of the hour, President Donald Trump, is not entirely immune to its propaganda. This was flagged by his selection of Exxon/Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State. A globalist and liberal-left 'Christian', Tillerson was instrumental in lobbying the Board of the Boy Scouts of America to accept openly homosexual youths as members. This quickly ushered in the lifting of the age-old ban on sodomite scout leaders.
Though, perhaps, a canny political choice, the Tillerson pick speaks to a President on a Christian learning curve. To hasten this process, his Catholic advisors would do well to acquaint him with the life and presidency of Ecuador's mighty Gabriel Garcia Moreno. Trump would identify with this brave president who also faced a demoralised country on the skids, and the same daunting task of facing down a ferocious (masonic) press serving entrenched vested interests. Yet no matter the experience and skills of a man like Tillerson, he would not have sought the help of such a morally confused individual. For it was Moreno's uncompromisingly Christian understanding of the political, economic, social and cultural problems before him — as being secondary effects of a deeper spiritual and moral crisis — that enabled him to tackle root causes and, thereby, effect a miraculous holistic national revival.
Described by Evangelical leader Dr James Dobson early in the election campaign as "a baby Christian," we should thank God that Mr Trump has come such a long Christian way in such a short time. And he seems to picking up speed as he goes.
Just consider his remarkable letter to Catholics last year, pledging: "I will defend your religious liberties and the right to fully and freely practice your religion, as individuals, business owners and academic institutions"; his Supreme Court nomination of pro-life Neil Gorsuch; and his insistence in his address at the national prayer breakfast on 2 February that the nation should "never ever, ever" stop asking God for wisdom, while promising to continue protecting religious liberty in the United States. These are sure signs of Providence at work. But let us pray that the many fine Christians he has been inspired to gather around him will continue to exert their godly influence.
Meantime, the sad choice of Mr Tillerson seems to indicate that there will be no serious challenge to the sodomitic motor of the Culture of Death, even under the fearless Trump. For now, the MSM myth of the 'healthy/happy homosexual' will continue to imperil souls, facilitate the corruption/recruitment of children, endanger public health, corrode morals, marriage and family life, and debilitate and kill vast numbers of homosexuals. [CO passim]
Promise-keeper
All that necessarily said, and despite our certain knowledge that only the restoration of bedrock Christian faith, morals and virtue will prevent Western nations from self-destructing, we can still appreciate President Trump's determination to take on the godless gatekeepers of politically correct discourse and policy: to overturn their hellish utopia of abortion-on-demand, population control, oxymoronic borderless countries, and endless wars. What a joy to hear the daily howls of protest as he regains control of U.S. immigration; embraces the pro-life cause; seeks to defuse tensions with Russia; revises treacherous trade agreements that sell out American workers; undoes self-serving and ruinous environmental policies — and much else besides.
Not satisfied with simply relating the facts of such policy reversals and debating them on their merits, the MSM decries it all as "shocking" and "vicious," while the presidential instigator is constantly and ludicrously defamed as the new "Hitler" — or just "deranged" (the BBC's Trump-pejorative du jour). Hysterical headlines radiate preternatural levels of spite. (The liberal-left hatred of Trump is "triple that" of George W. Bush, observed Bush's former White House secretary, Ari Fleischer.)
On 7 February, Trump referenced it himself in yet another response to yet another spurious New York Times editorial. After the Times murmured darkly about Trump's supposed relationship with Putin and interests in Russia, which they found "disturbing," Trump tweeted on the lie and the bilious hypocrisy: "I don't know Putin, have no deals in Russia, and the haters are going crazy - yet Obama can make a deal with Iran, #1 in terror, no problem!"
They are baying at the moon. Each defiant Trump Tweet bypasses the MSM haters to reach his supporters, while the bought-and-paid-for presstitutes of advocacy journalism look on helplessly: their credibility and monopolistic influence in tatters.
For instance, after they melted down over his executive order to impose an indefinite ban on Syrian refugees, and halt the nation's overall refugee programme for 120 days, Trump immediately tweeted on 29 January: "Our country needs strong borders and extreme vetting, NOW. Look what is happening all over Europe and, indeed, the world - a horrible mess!"
Accordingly, taking expert advice on the matter, he also suspended visas for people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen for at least 30 days. Since these countries are renowned hubs of training, harbouring and exporting terrorists, what could be more sensible than pausing to review the vetting procedures in order to prevent terrorists from entering the United States?
Shortly after our subversive pontiff usurped the sovereignty of the Knights of Malta, the subversive Ninth Circuit court of appeals also acted ultra vires in blocking the presidential ban. In the illegal process of doing so, it claimed that there was no evidence that "any alien from any of the countries named in the order has perpetrated a terrorist attack in the United States." In fact, of the 380 foreign born people convicted of terrorists acts in America since 9/11, seventy-two came from the seven countries on the President's list! Thirty-three of those committing "very serious" terror-related crimes. (Unable to fact-check those factual figures out of existence, the MSM fact-spinners simply pronounced them "debunked"!)
Instead of temper tantrums, MSM reporters could and should have asked Trump uncomfortable questions: such as why he left Saudi Arabia, the engine-room of Islamic radicalisation and terror, and equally wicked Qatar, off his list? Instead, typically, they preferred to exploit the issue for their own ends; emoting about a mere hundred or so unfortunate people who were temporarily inconvenienced by the rapid policy change, and detained at airports. A collective nervous breakdown then ensued when it was decided that Christian refugees from the named areas will be spared by the orders. House Homeland Security Chairman Mike McCaul calmly pointed out that "They are not the ones who are going to pose a terrorist threat to the United States." Quite.
At the same time, it righted a longstanding and terrible wrong.
These peaceful yet persecuted Christians suffered cruel discrimination under Islamophile Barack Obama. As Trump said on the campaign trail, "They have been treated horribly" He cited shocking statistics from recent years to make his point, such as the 15,302 Muslims allowed into the U.S. last year, compared to just 93 Christians. "It is unjust," he insisted. Thus, once again, he can only be accused of keeping his promise.
Pharisaical, elitist, wantonly blind....
As the MSM-contrived furore over this just executive order raged on, Soros rent-a-thugs were rolled out to obstruct and incite. But Mr McCaul again put it simply: "The whole point here is we need to do a better job vetting, both on the visa application process — but also in the refugee program as to who we're letting into the United States responsibly and who we're not."
Only MSM scribes — fake-news guardians of the Matrix — could present that reasonable agenda as the "dangerous" plan of a "deranged" President. Only these hyper-pharisaical creatures could silently acquiesce in Barack Obama's similar halting of visas in 2011 for Iraqis (even those who risked their lives in the war effort), out of the same fear of importing terrorism to the U.S., then go ballistic six years later when his successor does likewise.
Only the MSM could so blithely and arrogantly ignore the prevailing view in both America and Europe, opposing Muslim immigration. A nationwide Reuters/Ipsos survey conducted after the airport protests, showed that Americans supported the Trump travel ban by a margin of 49-41%. On cue, MSM polls undermined that reality, leading to another truthful, feisty Trump tweet on 6 February defending his immigration order: “Any negative polls are fake news, just like the CNN, ABC, NBC polls in the election. Sorry, people want border security and extreme vetting.”
Europeans, too! A recent survey carried out by the Royal Institute of International Affairs think tank asked 10,000 Europeans in ten different countries if they agreed with the statement, “All further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped.” Fifty-five percent answered in the affirmative, 25% said they don’t know and just 20% said they disagreed with the statement. In France, 61% oppose Muslim immigration while just 16% support it. In Germany 53% support a halt on Muslim immigration while only 19% oppose that view. Even among those aged 18-29, millennials who would be expected to hold leftist views, a majority of 44%-27% support a halt on Muslim immigration.
Only the MSM could foment anti-Trump fury over his Mexican-border plan while shutting out the pro-Trump findings of... the MSM! Last June, the editor-in-chief of Esquire magazine informed his fellow ultra-liberal MSNBC TV hosts, that all the people his journalist spoke with at the US-Mexico border, "whether they were Hispanic, Anglo, Democrat, Republican, uncommitted, clueless, whatever; they said we want a wall."
Inverting reality
In the Matrix, Donald is Adolf. In REALITY, a philosemite whose devotion to Israel will probably be his undoing, he could not be further from a Hitleresque figure.
In the Matrix, Trump is bad for business. In REALITY, his dynamism has added $2 trillion to the U.S. economy since he became President-Elect. (A Washington Post columnist compared this stockmarket boost to "Nazi Germany"!)
In the Matrix, contrived 'protests' paint Trump as Public Enemy #1. In REALITY, his popularity has soared from 41% to 59% in official presidential tracking polls (— polls that target the elderly and mainstream TV viewers, which skews heavily towards the Democrats; meaning his actual approval rating is more like 70%!).
In the Matrix, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is a heroine for pouting her intention to register as a Muslim as an act of defiance against Trump's immigration plans. In REALITY, Albright is the embodiment of the bloodless NWO sociopaths whose defeat, Trump says, will be the rebirth of humanity. During a 60 Minutes interview in 1996, reminded of the apocalpytic human cost of American-led sanctions against Iraq — specifically, the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children who died (for lack of food and medicine) — Albright was asked: "Is the price worth it?" Yes, she concluded, "We think the price is worth it."
The same surreal Matrix that still labels clerical sexual abusers as "paedophiles", also claims that the phrase "Crooked Hillary" was coined by Putin for Trump! [MSNBC, 16/1/17]. In REALITY, eighty percent of priestly predators are homosexuals preying on teenagers, and the man who commercialised "You're fired!" hardly needed a puppet-master to dream up a nickname for his crooked rival!
Trump-Russia beat up
In the Matrix, "anonymous sources" brandishing no evidence whatsoever ensured that pre- and post-election coverage was dominated by stories of Russian hacking that influenced the outcome. In REALITY, inept Hillary defeated herself (as usual), while the Wikileaks information exposing her corruption came from government and intelligence insiders fearful of a Clinton victory.
"I know who leaked [the documents]," said former UK Ambassador Craig Murray, who went to America representing Wikileaks. "I've met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it's an insider [viz., a senior U.S. intelligence officer]. It's a leak, not a hack."
Moreover, Saudi Arabia was the one interfering in the election — in plain sight! The Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bragged that Riyadh provided — with "full enthusiasm" — 20% of the total funding of Hillary's campaign [Petra News Agency, 12/6/16]. She also received similar illegal donations from China and scores of other nations. (One more time: Lock. Her. Up.)
Amid the frenetic anti-Russian narrative in the Matrix, the same Russian actors accused of breaching the Democratic National Committee were accused of hacking into the U.S. power grid [Washington Post. 30/12/16].In REALITY, the American power grid was not hacked at all, by Russia or anyone else (which is not to say they're not all trying!). The only breach was a utility company laptop with no access to the grid. In the real word, moreover, all governments hack each other, and the Americans created and lead that cyber speciality (just ask Iran!).
In the Matrix, editorials repeatedly decry Trump's personal ties with Putin. In REALITY, Wikileaks exposed Hillary boasting of her actual personal relationship with Putin. In 2013, during her lucrative talks to private groups (like Goldman Sachs), she described how Putin even invited her into his "private inner sanctum," where they bonded over wildlife issues. During these talks to Wall Street she fulsomely praised Putin and depicted Russia as no threat to anyone.
In the Matrix, Putin wanted Trump elected, in keeping with the Clinton spin that he wants to "support Putin." In REALITY, a 'President Hillary' suited Putin far more. Thanks to her reckless disregard for national security, he doubtless has all her incriminating emails, and much other compromising material besides. According to Infowars' Alex Jones, "Hillary was being paid, as was [her campaign chairman John] Podesta, through money-laundering connections in Russian banks. They were being paid millions of dollars, for transferring U.S. technology to Russia." This of course was all of a piece with the massive 'donations' to the Clinton Foundation (and other kick-backs), in return for Secretary of State Hillary signing off a deal that granted Russian interests control of 20% of America's uranium supply (in return for which single favour alone her Foundation-piggy bank trousered $35 million).
Clinton-China cover up
In the Matrix, Russia is the bogeyman par excellence and dominates the headlines. In REALITY, China is more newsworthy; not merely for its hacking but its corporate and cultural colonisation of America.
Last year, the Chinese Communist Party even assumed control of all six Hollywood studios: major weapons in the MSM infotainment arsenal. Melding Tinseltown cultural Marxism with Chinatown political Marxism is of huge import. It will influence public perception all over, as well as further demoralise the American public, through state-sponsored Communist propaganda. It is already manifest in recent blockbusters (e.g., Arrival), in which kind and benevolent Chinese now bail out hapless Americans. In this same vein of belittling America, an anti-Trump propaganda film is also in production. Called Little America, it is described as "a dystopian adventure movie set in a future where a Trump-like U.S. president has bankrupted America and China has called in its debts, making China the de facto owner of the country, while many Americans emigrate to China for work." They've also blocked at least one film from release, in order to have it re-edited so that North Korea, not China as originally written, leads an invasion of America in Red Dawn 2.
The traitorous MSM is not interested in aggressive Chinese subversion, since it damages neither Russia nor Donald Trump. As we have seen, rather than headline and debate this potent merger, the media Matrix developed its own 'screenplay': about Donald Trump's supposed sexual depravity in Moscow (— the publication of which lurid dossier, by the way, has resulted in BuzzFeed, its editor in chief, and the English spy involved being sued by a Russian-tied tech firm named in the dossier, for "libelous, unverified and untrue allegations"). Nor will the MSM risk losing control of their Russia-Trump "collusion" narrative by bringing up the criminal Clinton White House.
In exchange for Russian and Chinese trade favours for his chief U.S. campaign donors, and millions of additional dollars in illegal campaign donations from the Chinese, Bill Clinton, despite strong objections from the State and Defense Departments, repeatedly approved the sale and delivery of high tech missile defence components and other secret technology and information to both countries. As renowned political insider and writer Roger Stone put it: "President Bill Clinton did more to damage U.S. national security than anyone else in American history. He is a traitor to our interests and he is guilty of espionage. He should have been arrested, impeached and convicted. The question is, how did this story escape mass media attention?"
It didn't, of course. The compromised corporate media simply chose to turn a blind eye. Just as it now chooses to spin baseless stories about a new President beholden to Russia rather than use Chinese corporate and cultural subversion to revisit this textbook treason of the Billary 'co-presidency'. Or, failing that, simply to headline the height and depth of Hillary's criminal collusion and election campaign manipulation with her Chinese, Saudi and Qatari backers. The Wikileaks email revelation that Saudi Arabia and Qatar fund both ISIS and the Clinton Foundation would be a good starting point.
Inside the Matrix
Doubtless, there are still a few MSM scribes willing to tackle stories of that magnitude. However, as former leading CBS investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson details in Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama's Washington [2014], to do the hard work and produce such a vital exposé in the public interest is one thing. To get it past the clique of network executives who finally determine what airs and what doesn't, is another thing altogether. Deferring to corporate sponsors and/or colluding with the government, these self-serving corporate masters are the real controllers of the media Matrix.
Attkisson, a renowned award-winning journalist who follows stories wherever the facts lead, regardless of the political party or corporate interests involved, details her endless struggles to get big stories published. Like other networks, the CBS execs in New York prefer to wait for others to break news, which they then parrot or paraphrase from the newswires, or government press releases. Indeed, the government itself increasingly writes and controls the narrative fed to the supine MSM. Attkisson explains the fascistic process:
As they've melded into one, the government has adopted and perfected many of the public relations and crisis management strategies employed by the big corporations. It's a natural outgrowth of their incestuous relationship. The big difference is the government is using your tax dollars to promote itself and advance its propaganda.
One way they do this is by self-producing videos and building their very own television production facilities where the upper echelon give interviews and speeches, controlling everything from content to lighting. [...] ...the Pentagon has its own twenty-four-hour channel....
Both the Defense Department and the Centers for Disease Control provide taxpayer-funded advisors to television and Hollywood entertainment producers to promote accuracy — or propaganda — depending on your view. ...
.... And by its own admission, the Pentagon's Film Liaison Office gives for-profit filmmakers free use of taxpayer assets, from tanks to jets, but only if the film portrays the positive images the Pentagon wants. If not, the assets are withheld. According to the documentary Hollywood and the Pentagon: A Dangerous Liaison: "Scripts are cut and sometimes watered down. Characters are changed and historical truth, sometimes fudged. One director might be loaned combat ships and jets. ... Another director, whose script displeases the army, may be refused any kind of support. ... Few great war films have escaped the influence, or even censure, of the U.S. Army."
It's "pure propaganda," according to the documentary. And you're paying for it.
... A few years ago, a well-placed insider at the U.S. Department of Agriculture confessed to me that even he was surprised to learn that his own agency supposedly has more than 1,200 employees working in some sort of media relations capacity nationwide. ... Your tax dollars pay their salaries, but many times they're little more than private publicity agents for their bosses: spinning, avoiding, and obfuscating as expertly as any of their corporate counterparts.
If the news media were to collectively hold public officials accountable, the officials wouldn't be able to run and hide. At least we could make it more difficult. ...
Combine complacency in the news media with the incredible publicity forces behind the political-industrial complex and you begin to understand how little of the truth you sometimes get. They often have unlimited time and money to figure out ways to spin us while cloaking their role in doing so.
From her long professional experience, Attkisson knows that although there is "a liberal political bias in the mainstream media that tilts towards stories favouring liberal social issues and philosophies... there's also a competing conservative, corporate bias that favors specific companies, industries, and paid interests." The result is unbalanced and incomplete information: "a distorted and perplexing mix." ("Astroturf" propaganda, which she explains herein, adds yet another layer to this deception.)
While MSM conflicts of interest are nothing new, Attkisson stresses that "This trend has become more predominant in the last couple of years as powerful interests have mastered their methods of influencing us...." Managers "believe that they'll keep their lucrative jobs by going along, rather than resisting." The "capitulation to special interests," however, is only "ensuring a quicker demise of the entire platform by alienating and eroding the audience that we supposedly serve."
This self-inflicted implosion is acute. "The total television broadcast network news audience compared to that which is available remains miniscule," she writes. "Many in the public believe that we're feeding them a lot of pabulum. I've never before heard so many people say so — liberals, conservatives, and people who define themselves as neither."
As already noted, this dumbing down is inevitable because, perversely, MSM news producers have no appetite for news. There is a prevailing attitude, writes Attkisson, that "If it hasn't been reported elsewhere, how can they be sure it's news? In fact, it's only news after somebody else reports it. Or after one of our relied-upon special interests, such as the government, says it's news." She continues on, describing the sheer laziness and complacency of MSM producers:
They desire what others have. This means they manically monitor sources like the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Daily Beast, the Huffington Post, and Buzzfeed. They follow the Twitter accounts of their favorite bloggers and sources. They watch the cable news channels all day long and dispatch a relentless stream of notes and phone calls to the bureaus in the field. [...] To them, newsgathering is defined as, quite literally, gathering other outlets' news.... I liken it to assigning a talented artist to do a paint-by-numbers project. Use the colors we instruct you to use. Fill in the preselected image. Stay in the lines.
The endless pap (or "weather porn" as Attkisson calls the preference for 'news' centred around weather reports and similar fluff) is exasperating. But the propaganda is insidious. She quotes Edward Hernan and Noam Chomsky in Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of Mass Media, who describe the media Matrix to a tee:
The U.S. media do not function in the manner of the propaganda systems of a totalitarian state. Rather, they permit — indeed encourage — spiritual debate, criticism, and dissent, as long as these remain faithfully within the system of presuppositions and principles that constitute an elite consensus, a system so powerful as to be internalized largely without awareness.
Attkisson wholeheartedly agrees, candidly confessing how the Matrix fuels advocacy journalism:
We routinely convince ourselves that we're questioning authorities and approaching news stories with open minds. In fact, our discussions usually take place within the confines of the narrowest parameters preset by our own — or our supervisors' — "system of presuppositions and principles that constitute an elite consensus."
All the while, government pressure narrows these ideological parameters still further. To that end, rather than the protection they were promised, whistle-blowers have been demonised and virtually outlawed. New York Times reporter James Risen, for one, faced the threat of jail under Barack Obama for refusing to turn over information about a confidential source. He said:
The Obama administration is trying to narrow the playing field for reporters. ... [It] want[s] to create an interstate highway of reporting in which there are police all along telling you to stay on that highway. As long as we accept this interstate highway of reporting, we are enabling and complicit in what's happening to society and the press.
It is precisely this MSM complicity with Congress that has "enabled the rise of an unaccountable executive branch," writes Paul Craig Roberts. "This lack of accountability has brought us tyranny at home and war abroad, and these two evils are enveloping us all." James Risen omits this from his comments, of course: viz., that this state control leading to his maltreatment for protecting a source is the MSM's comeuppance — for unprecedented and obscene levels of sycophancy since the 2008 election.
Although too little too late, others finally joined him in criticising their one-time saviour Barack. His liberal colleague Jill Abramson confessed that "The Obama years are a benchmark for a new level of secrecy and control." A colleague of Attkisson, a self-professed left-winger, also admitted to her that he was ecstatic about Obama's election: "a new era of transparency was about to begin." But "getting information out of the Obama people" turned out "worse than Bush. Much worse." He found himself "deeply unsettled" as "party apparatchiks" played down "scandals rocking the White House and the nation: NSA domestic spying; monitoring the Associated Press and Fox News like North Korean 'minders'." He is so worried he's writing his own book on the subject.
Escaping the Matrix
All of these straitjackets, applied by the MSM and the government both individually and in concert, put the phrase "going off message", and the danger of doing so, in sobering perspective. It also explains why vital investigative journalism is at such a low ebb. Some, like Attkisson and another CBS Emmy Award-winning reporter, Al Sunshine, get fed up with the corporate collusion, executive self-interest, and constant political obstruction, and leave the Matrix. Sunshine's investigations were hugely popular with viewers, and even led to new laws being passed and criminals being prosecuted. But he was told his stories were "too negative" and he was reassigned to daily news coverage. After he retired from WFOR-TV in Miami, the summer before Attkisson left CBS, he wrote:
Advertisers are dominating news judgment in news organizations all over the country. The pubic interest is being diminished in the interests of corporate advertisers and lobbyists. What's almost universally accepted as 'business as usual' in Washington, corruption between lobbyists' dollars and political favoritism, is slowly but surely becoming the norm for many news organizations as well.
Discussing the aversion for investigative stories, a colleague in another news division agreed with Attkisson that "Nobody wants them anymore. We just end up posting most of them on the Web." "That's what I do!" she exclaimed. Her reports were marginalised in that way by her CBS employers because she pursued (on the public's behalf) untouchable subjects, especially those that upset the Obama White House. It was her persistence — in the face of personal smears and misrepresentations of her factual reporting, and military-grade hacking of her computers — that unravelled the dense web of dissembling, lies and cover-ups surrounding the fatal 11 September 2012 terrorist attacks on Americans in Benghazi, Libya. Had the truths she unearthed and documented been fully and relentlessly aired by the MSM before the November 2012 election, it is doubtful Barack Obama would have won a second term. While Mrs Clinton's presidential designs may well have sunk with him.
Even Attkisson's vital investigation into defective, exploding lithium-iron batteries on the giant Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which included a brave whistleblower, was scotched by executives. "Boeing had been lobbying Congress to not convene hearings on the Dreamliner. And in fact, hearings that were once reported to be imminent never materialized," she writes. "I could only assume that powerful interests had gotten to CBS, too. I had no way to know for sure. Nobody was going to tell me. ... We [the MSM] all went from near-daily interest in the developing Dreamliner story, to more or less letting the topic fall off the planet." (Much later, the National Transportation Safety Board issued findings that vindicated her shelved report.)
Sick of being sold down the river by her own network whenever they needed to save their corporate skins, and tired of the constant struggle to gain traction with other huge stories, Attkisson finally left CBS in 2014 after twenty years: to taste life outside the Matrix. "I breathe unrestricted, fresh air for the first time in several years," she writes. "It smells different to me. It smells like freedom."
CNN exposed
Former CNN investigative journalist Amber Lyon also cast off the corporate shackles to embrace this freedom: to report the plain truth. Like Attkisson a winner of multiple Emmy Awards, CNN sent Lyon and her team to Bahrain in 2011 to cover the Arab Spring. At great risk, they exposed torture and killings (to include the shooting of unarmed protestors) and mass arrests of peaceful demonstrators by the U.S.-backed Bahrain regime. The network shelved the documentary. Why? Because Bahrain was selling CNN International content disguised as 'news'; portraying Bahrain as a progressive and beautiful place to visit — a lie Amber Lyon could not accept or convey to the public.
Since leaving CNN to establish her own website, she has revealed the level of MSM deception, explaining how CNN is routinely paid by the US government and foreign governments to selectively report on certain events and make up fake news stories. Furthermore, the Obama administration paid CNN for editorial control over some of their content. Although CNN's domestic audience is in freefall, the impact of this subversion reverberates because of its hundreds of millions of international viewers.
During a September 2012 interview with Alex Jones, Lyon spoke about the chilling effect on American journalism of Barack Obama's war on whistle-blowers, and the consequent criminalisation of journalists who won't reveal their sources. She also alluded to the concentration of MSM power that facilitates control:
I felt it was so important to come forward because I'm trying to encourage other journalists to do the same. I think I'm the most vocal journalist coming out talking about CNN and CNN's history. And that's because Time-Warner owns HBO, CNN and CBS, cable outlets, TIME magazine, and journalists are terrified to come forward to talk about what's going on because they feel they'll never be able to get a job in the business again. And I think it's time as journalists.... to really step forward, and focus on the elephant in the room here: and that's the propaganda, and sometimes the lies to the American public — the poor trusting American public; you know my family members living in the mid-west — they're being lied to. And journalists, in the end, complacent journalists are killing journalism. And they need to come forward and talk about this because they're on the wrong side of history. And, unfortunately, I feel that one day when this all is exposed — cause the truth doesn't have a shelf-life — when it is exposed, they're going to be looked at as just as guilty as these corporations that they work for.
Real news: the oxygen of counter-revolt
Hopefully, the journalistic integrity, courage and resolve of Sharyl Attkisson and Amber Lyon will inspire others to put the public interest before self-interest and bolster the ranks of the alternative media. Throughout the U.S. election campaign, these truth-tellers countered the lies ricocheting about the MSM echo chamber so comprehensively, they effectively became the new mainstream media. It is not a passing phenomenon.
After their decisive role in the Trump victory (even the President's chief strategist, Steve Bannon, hails from Breitbart News), not only has the alternative media continued to expose post-election MSM distortions and lies, its audience has remained at or close to the record levels gained during the campaign. Last October, drudgereport.com ranked 3rd on SimilarWeb's top 100 U.S. Media sites, with over 1.7 billion page views in October alone; breitbart.com ranked 28th with over 168 million pages views; and infowars.com rocketed to 84th place with nearly 58 million page views, "an extraordinary leap of 31 spots" (from September to October), according to SimilarWeb.
To put these ratings and page views in MSM context: foxnews.com ranked 8th (818 million); nytimes.com 9th (643 million); washingtonpost.com 12th (474 million); bbc.com 18th (271 million); theguardian.com 39th (130 million); telegraph.co.uk 77th (60 million).
The figures are even more impressive than they appear. As Infowars points out: "Infowars.com website is only a small part of our platform — about 23%. For many other sites, their only reach is their website." Furthermore, "Infowars has also been re-instated on Quantcast’s list of top websites, to number 126 on the list, after the company had apparently de-listed Infowars.com at the same time that the mainstream media was circulating a list of 'fake news websites', that included big conservative news outlets such as Infowars and Breitbart."
Mostly of libertarian and/or evangelical stripe, these online operations lack the comprehensive and coherent worldview that only Catholicism can provide. So they need to be used critically and viewed as just one source of information — an approach they themselves encourage. Also, their no-holds-barred (sometimes tipping over into crude) commentary, while appreciated by many for the energetic and patriotic spirit it brings to the fight, is not to everyone's taste. Regardless, the factual information they relentlessly gather and report is indispensable, and their massive audience (outstripping even multi-billion dollar propagandists like the BBC), well earned.
How starkly they contrast with their mainstream counterparts: who, instead of laying out the facts, determine what information furthers their agenda, then frame, control and settle non-debates in favour of their anti-Christian worldview. They are now faced with the righteous zeal of indomitable patriots, whose accurate breaking news reports are blowing away the elite's ability to control the daily narrative of world events. No wonder the global establishment is in total panic.
"Fake news" hysteria
Barely had the final presidential votes been counted and the scale of Hillary's defeat registered in the minds of Soros & Co. (Soros alone having reportedly lost $1 billion banking on a Hillary win!), than this campaign to stop the alternative media went into high gear.
On both sides of the Atlantic, a "fake news" smear is being spun about major online media sites by the globalists and their corporate media propaganda machine — the real fake-newsmakers.
Derogatory labels like "alt-right" (read: alternative right haters) are also employed to denigrate the movement they've inspired; to depict the rejection of the atheistic revolution that is globalism, and the embraceof the Trump-led counter-revolution, as completely unhinged and a danger to life on earth. Of course, the only thing it endangers is the political patronage that opens the spigot of public funding for the global elite and their friends.
Interviewed on Inauguration Day by Polish site radiownet.pl, Matthew Tyrmand, a Breitbart columnist, said the oligarchs and their technocratic cabals are terrified by the prospect of the masses having access to information that was once sifted through the MSM. The rise of alternative online media like Breitbart "scares the hell out of them," he said:
Anne Appelbaum writes about this all the time in the Washington Post. That the masses are going to be coerced by all this information. That it's all going to appeal to the worst devils of their nature, as opposed to the better angels of their nature. [But] people want to respond to empirical reality; what they see around them. And what the media and the academy have been doing, full time, non-stop, since the 60s, all over the place, is coerce the narratives and the outcomes [issuing] from that. So aggressively. And now, since the 90s, and early 2000s, with mass information flow, thanks to the revolution in technology with the internet, the dispersion of facts and ideologies can be so much wider, and compete so much more meritocratically.
This has them scared. I mean, CNN is not going to exist in a few years. The New York Times is hurtling towards bankruptcy, the Washington Post has already been in bankruptcy, and is only getting bailed out by fellow technocratic elites , who have a major incentive to keep coercing this narrative for their own power structures. ... This is what the left does. They just make up talking points, like the debate on "fake news", and they run with it, and frequently those fellow travellers and similar like-minded believers will then keep perpetuating these myths in the echo chamber. And for a long time they controlled the echo chamber. Now there's competition, and they're scared. They're busy labelling it "fake news" and trying to get it banned. Because they know they're really on the cusp of total obsolescence.
Tyrmand is right. Far from "fake," the oxygen of truth provided by alternative media has given a dumbed-down public new life. The endemic corruption and deep-seated hatred of Christian civilisation has been held up for public scrutiny. Described by Tyrmand as a cultural and economic Marxist who "believes that America is a fundamentally horrible place," Barack Obama "has been in wars, and expanding [them], every single day of his presidency. I think [he's] the first president in American history to be engaged in multiple war crimes every single day of his presidency," he says:
And that's why Trump won. People can see [the truth] now. CNN covered it up for years. NBC, the BBC, and all the French and German mainstream media. But the people see it because there's competition to get the word out about how destructive, fraudulent, dishonest, and morally reprehensible [Obama's] philosophies and policies are.
Political commentator and bestselling author Jerome Corsi concurs. A pioneer of alternative media (with World Net Daily), for decades he has tirelessly reported major stories ignored or covered up by corporate media, whose end is nigh:
What the left realise — they're in complete panic over it — is that the mainstream media — NBC, CBS — they're all dead. Nobody's going to watch them in 20 years. New York Times — dead. Hollywood — dead. These are all bypassed ideas and technologies. You don't need a New York Times. But Obama would establish a Ministry of Truth, and he would have censorship over what is permitted to be said in America. You've already got the mainstream media [acting that way].
Inglorious tradition
This "complete panic" rang out in post-election headlines that read like satires of 1950s Soviet disinformation and scaremongering: Obama: We must guard against fake news - Politico, 17/11/16; Hillary Clinton calls fake news "an epidemic" with real world consequences - CNN, 9/12/16. Truly, you couldn't make it up: two notorious organs of MSM fake news headlining fears about fake news by two of the biggest political fakers in U.S. history!
For its part, the Washington Post had no sooner headlined: Russian propaganda effort helped spread 'fake news' during election, experts say, than it was shamed into admitting that its story was... er... fake! Washington Post admits article on "Russian Propaganda" and "fake news" based on sham research, ran a corrective Infowars article of 8 December. To condemn "fake news" with a self-professed fake report encapsulates the risibly degenerate state of mainstream media.
Yet the Washington Post cannot be accused of infidelity. It is stubbornly faithful: to the long and inglorious MSM tradition of falsehoods in the interests of corporate and political masters. In this case, the labelling of truthful reporting "fake news", in order to preserve the illusion of its own lies as gospel truth. Books have been written about the fraudulent reporting on major historical issues. The New York Times has led the way, not least during the Soviet years when it boldly carried water for Russia.
When Stalin was in the process of starving around 20 million to death in the Ukraine, for instance, against all the evidence the MSM denied it. When that became untenable, Walter Duranty, a Soviet propagandist-cum-New York Times reporter in Russia, famously justified the genocide with, "You can't make an omelet without breaking eggs." That the Jewish Times would lie about a genocide several times bigger than the Jewish Holocaust made that particular treachery more disgusting still.
Herewith a few more offerings one blogger supplied by way of explaining how the MSM earned its "deplorable reputation":
The January 1968 Tet Offensive in Vietnam was uniformly reported as a victory for the North and a defeat for America. When it became evident that militarily it had been a huge defeat for the North, someone at one of the big three TV networks proposed correcting the record. The response from above was: it had been reported as a U.S. defeat, therefore it was a U.S. defeat.
In the mid 70's, the MSM were warning about global cooling the way they're now warning of global warming. One of the proposals mentioned in a Newsweek article to help alleviate the problem was to spread soot over the ice caps to help them absorb heat.
The agenda: retaining control
One could go on interminably. The propagandistic "fake news" attack is simply par for the course. And the term itself, like its companion cliché "hate speech," suits the MSM because it is so vague as to allow the smearing of legitimate news content opposed to MSM interests.
For example, Fox News was said to be peddling "fake news" when it forecast that Obamacare would lead to people losing their insurance plan or their doctors or that medical costs would rise. Even after those predictions were realised, it was still called fake news.
The undercover video of Planned Parenthood selling baby body parts was also called "fake news" because the video was "edited" — despite those who saw the whole video stating it made no difference to reaching the same conclusion.
In the end, "fake news" is simply whatever the global elite do not like. And they do not like losing control. During a 24 January interview with online X22Report, Paul Craig Roberts summed up our argument thus far (original emphases):
They are losing control over the explanations that are given to the people. The presstitute media, that is, the print and TV media, not only in the United States but throughout the Western world, especially Western Europe, this media produces ‘news’ that allow the ruling elites to control the explanations.
For example, they allow the CIA to allow the explanations. They allow the banks and Wall Street, they allow the Israel lobby, they allow the extractive industries, agribusiness. These are the groups that control the explanations. And this has probably been true to [a] varying extent throughout our history, but especially since the final years of the Clinton regime, when the media was concentrated into the hands of six mega-corporations. Ninety percent of the media, American media, which had once [been] dispersed and had the potential of being independent – 90% of this media was concentrated in the hands of six mega-firms, so that all independence disappeared.
The media’s no longer run by journalists, it’s run by former government officials and corporate advertising executives, and so it is much more easy to control it. And so the news that Americans have gotten, such as Saddam Hussein’s ‘weapons of mass destruction’, Iranian nukes, Assad’s use of chemical weapons, the Russian invasion of Ukraine – all of these things, are fake news, that are put out to serve the agendas of the ruling elites.
Now, what has happened, with the rise of the high-speed internet, and the rise of lots of internet sites, who challenge the fake news issued by the presstitute media, these people, the alternative media, have gained a larger and larger audience. And so the elites are losing control over the explanations to independent internet sites. And so now they’re trying to shut up these sites, discredit them by saying if you tell the truth, the truth is fake news. And the lies that we tell — that is, the lies that the presstitute media tells — that’s the real truth.
"So that’s what it’s all about," Roberts concluded. "That’s where that list of 200 internet sites, said to be Russian agents, came from. That’s what’s going on. They’re trying to retain control over their control of the explanations."
Orwellian drift
Asked whether he thought their desperate attempt to do so was working, Roberts replied: "No, I don't think it's working." Regardless, they will not stop. There is too much to lose for those living gilded lives at taxpayer expense. Like the haughty Eurocrats in Brussels — Fraud & Propaganda Central! — who hastily discussed laws to force Facebook, Google et. al., to censor "fake news" (i.e., news that would expose their rackets.) The leader of Germany's Socialist Party called for €500,000 fines for portals of disinformation! While in Washington, a large bipartisan push for restrictions on speech gathered steam in Congress, looking to shut down websites of the sort that support Donald Trump.
At the same time, Alex Jones reports that "The New York Times and the Washington Post and others have all written serious articles saying Trump himself should be banned from Twitter, calling him a 'hate monger' and saying he is bullying people, when all he was doing was responding to attacks." Openly targetting the President of the United States in this way puts us all on notice.
But there's worse. As this self-serving media beat up raged on, outgoing President Obama signed into law the Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act (2016). Alas, it is not, as its title suggests, directed at the MSM! Purportedly aimed at countering the propaganda of foreign nations, it was buried within the National Defense Authorization Act (2017)and effectively federalises all media: placing the CIA and the State Department over the Board of Governors of the Federal Communications Commission! This, comments the financial blog ZeroHedge, "sets the stage for future witch hunts and website shutdowns, purely as a result of an accusation that any one media outlet or site is considered as a source of 'disinformation and propaganda' and is then shut down by the government."
"Fake news" orchestrators
Readers should know that the instigator of the "fake news" frenzy that led to Obama's new law was a leading Democrat apparatchik operating in conjunction with the Data-Mining Monolith we call "Google." Jerome Corsi explains:
Radical Democratic Party political operative David Brock is the chief architect behind promoting the leftist "Fake News" campaign. Brock's advice was key to promoting Google to take steps to prohibit some 340 "fake news" sites in November and December alone from using Google ads for monetisation. Last week Google confirmed that since November, some 550 sites have been reviewed, resulting in permanent bans for nearly 200 and temporary bans for another 140, as reported by Variety on Jan. 25, 2017.
Google refuse to disclose the identity of the websites Google has targetted to block as "fake news".
Assisting Brock was Google's Erich Schmidt (net worth $11 billion). A high-level Clinton and Obama adviser and backer, he founded the multinational conglomerate Alpahabet Inc., the parent company of Google. For all its great benefits and products, Google is increasingly out of control. Wikileaks-released emails (all but ignored by the MSM) underlined the spooky and unethical drift, by way of Schmidt offering the Hillary campaign the data Google accumulates on its users. Hardly surprising, since the company was also the daily presence in the Obama White House:
According to a report published by Campaign for Accountability on April 26, 2016, White House logs show Google had "unrivalled access" to the Obama administration with Google representatives attending 427 meetings in the White House from the time Obama took office on January 20, 2009, and October 2015 — a meeting every 5.8 days — more than once a week — averaging one meeting every 4.1 working days.
The Campaign for Accountability study established a "revolving door" between Google and the Obama White House. "The dataset highlights the astonishing level of traffic between the two in both directions: 251 people either moved from Google into government or vice-versa, since Obama took office."
This, of course, has resulted in a flow of government regulations favourable to Google Inc., which is doubtless a major reason why Eric Schmidt is reportedly ingratiating himself with the new White House regime. But Corsi warns that a continued Google presence maintains the link to David Brock's "fake news" campaign:
Trump supporters should remain legitimately concerned that by buying into Brock's campaign against "fake news", the ultimate goal of the far-left is to ban sites like infowars.com for exposing the far-left agenda, while protecting mainstream media news organisations and websites like CNN, despite proof CNN has reported anti-Trump stories proven to be false or otherwise untruthful. [Infowars, 31/1/17]
How ironic and portentous. Google, whose technological revolution has provided the platform for independent voices to flourish, selling out those alternative voices rather than protecting them. Ditto Twitter, Facebook, et. al.. But since they are all run by creatures of the libertine-left, we should expect a ratcheting up of calls to control the internet — to save the world from supporters of (...cue cacophonous screams...) an anti-globalist President!
On the front line
Certainly, that crackdown is precisely what a President Clinton would have expedited from day one. But due to the reprieve afforded us by President Trump, they cannot stop the post-8/11/16 momentum. In any event, truth-telling social media groups that have re-opened the oxygen tank of unvarnished news, long switched off by advocacy-journalists, are not about to surrender. "Right now, the internet is the cutting edge, the front line, of the battle," Jerome Corsi said recently during an online interview with Alex Jones. "Live streaming — what we're doing right here — this is the front line."
The election campaign provided daily proof of that assertion.
For example, it is only thanks to groups like Project Veritas — a social media group of investigative 'citizen journalists' run by a dynamic young Catholic, James O'Keefe — that so many spurious headlines were exposed. Whether sensational reports about men making Hitler salutes while hailing Trump at a supposed Republican neo-Nazi victory party, or "hateful" Trump notes allegedly aimed at college students, O'Keefe and his team were on the spot to report the simple truth of the matter.
The Nazi beat up, for instance, was yet another false flag operation. Project Veritas was there to get the self-identified Jewish men involved to admit, on video, that they made the Nazi salutes as soon as Trump was proclaimed the winner, so the media could capture it and cast Trump and his supporters in the worst light. While the "hateful" notes were actually fabricated by a student.
Similar false flags inciting outrage against Trump are too numerous to recount — all gleefully reported by the MSM, which, having done the damage with hundreds of fake stories, might occasionally run a small, belated retraction that nobody notices amid the ongoing flood of Retweeted misinformation.
Among very much else, it was James O'Keefe who caught activists on Hillary Clinton's payroll admitting that they started the riot that shut down a Trump rally in Chicago. He and his colleagues also blew open the vast extent of voter fraud on election day. The MSM won't entertain President Trump's point that millions of illegals voted, preferring to accuse Trump of lacking proof. All they have to do is phone James O'Keefe! As Alex Jones reminded his Infowars audience:
Project Veritas caught multiple top Democrat officials, who head up their election voting system and their get-out-the-vote programmes, admitting that they were going to steal [the election], and have people vote ten times, and that nothing was going to stop them.
These foul-mouthed creatures can be heard on tape boasting that they could get away with anything, and that they had people voting over and over again, using lists of dead people. Jones went on:
Also, the head election official of New York City, a Democrat but a good person, told Project Veritas there's massive fraud, they're bussing people around to vote illegally over and over again. For telling the truth, the mayor of New York stripped him of his electoral function. Men and women in Florida, Colorado and other states [were] arrested for voting repeatedly. And they had lists of dead people that they'd been given, to go out and steal the election for Hillary. [This is] election fraud, through the individuals at the grassroots: voter fraud, but technically election fraud since it's organised at the top.
Only the treacherous and pharisaical MSM could rubbish a patriotic President-Elect for pointing to demonstrable and massive voter fraud among (Democrat-inclined) illegal immigrants, while ignoring the incitement to commit precisely that fraud by a sitting globalist President. During a national TV interview, Barack Obama plainly stated that illegal immigrants could vote without fear of punishment. A deafening MSM silence ensued — despite each and every Obama-sanctioned illegal vote constituting a felony!
An Alinskyite Marxist from Chicago, it is no suprise that Barack Obama breezily denies the voter fraud he openly promotes. Or that he called Trump crazy for denouncing a "rigged" system. Yet more than 200 U.S. civil rights groups called on UN and EU international observers to monitor the election. And if there is no rigging, then why, as soon as they lost, did electoral fraud deniers claim electoral fraud, and that Trump stole the election?
Again: Hillary lost despite trying to steal the election. As Bill Mitchell at thegatewaypundit.com tweeted on 5 December about the Pennsylvania recount: How the hell does Hillary win 90% of "found" absentee ballots in a state she lost 48/47? This stinks to high heaven.
Without the MSM covering for him, Obama would have looked ridiculous, not Trump. Given the global repercussions of American elections, we should all celebrate a President concerned about the integrity of the U.S. electoral process. Recently, columnist John Fund pointed out that America has the "sloppiest voting system in the industrialised world", even worse than Mexico, which now uses advanced voter ID cards. The truth the MSM still won't admit, is that Donald Trump got it right again, tweeting on 28 November: "Serious voter fraud in Virginia, New Hampshire and California — so why isn't the media reporting on this? Serious bias — big problem!"
This is why the alternative media, including the youthful likes of Project Veritas, now do the MSM's job for them. And with Jerome Corsi set to lead an Infowars presence in Washington, complacent MSM scribes had better watch out! Discussing this bold new venture with Corsi, Alex Jones said:
I don't want to get too confident here [i.e., with the achievements and gains already made]. That's why I've committed to spend basically every bit of capital we've got, and mortgage the house down the road if I have to, to really fund us being in D.C., New York, and other areas: to be there, exposing fake news, when the MSM crawls out of their hole. Because we have to be on the field as real media. We have to step up to the plate, and basically just by being there, move these people out of the way.
Corsi replied:
It's gonna take an army of our journalists, who are trained, to present the truth, to research. Just watch any White House press briefing, even the few that Trump has held, and the
front row is still the comfortable mainstream media, CNN ensconced there. [We need] a bigger room where we can set up, and have a number of people in this audience who are not just the selected Washington correspondents, who are all of an ideological leftist agenda, who all set out to attack everything Donald Trump does. What we've got to do is establish a Washington bureau. We've got reporters capable of digging down the facts, and countering the mainstream media lies.
"Eliminating" the whistle-blowers
Naturally, for its dutiful and courageous exposés of endemic corruption, James O'Keefe's Project Veritas was listed as "fake news" along with Infowars, Breitbart News, the Drudge Report and other reputable online media groups. "They tried to ban me," recounted O'Keefe, "but then 30,000 people sent emails to Twitter and they reinstated me." Being blacklisted is the least of it, however. As a measure of the high-stakes involved, the leaders of alternative media are being physically targetted by dark forces.
For instance: so effective is Infowars in its truth-telling resistance to MSM disinformation about all manner of scandals, its founder and irrepressible presenter Alex Jones is now in danger. Portrayed as a threat to the Republic by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, Jones related the warnings he has received:
I was told by high-level sources that I needed to watch being poisoned, about a month-and-a-half ago, right after Trump won. And I got multiple calls from Virginia, from Houston, from people saying, you really need to watch out.
[...] It’s just crazy that it was floated around to me that I should [know] that the Justice Department’s investigating me ... and then [the daughter of Democratic House Leader Nancy Pelosi] goes on TV ... and says that I’m death-threating her and have to be dealt with. Never said anything like that about her. So they’ve got themselves all hyped up in this frenzy. I guess because they’re behind the scenes giving orders, or whatever, and I guess they’re all playing James Bond now. ... We’ve even caught them trying to plant fake stories on the [Infowars] site.
And the word is... that they might use a radioactive isotope on you like polonium. Now you hear [about] this stuff, and you’re like, ‘Er, OK, yeah.’ There was that [Alexander] Litvinenko, triple agent… he gets poisoned with [polonium, in 2006 in London]. And then the MI6 operative, who’s working with [Litvinenko] ..., [turns out 10 years later to be] the guy who leaks the Trump-Russian dossier. You can’t make this up.
Alex Jones has every reason to be worried.
Andrew Breitbart, founder of Breitbart News, died suddenly of a heart attack on 1 March 2012, just hours before his planned release of incendiary footage of Barack Obama in his college days, which could have ruined Obama's bid for a second term. "The house of cards is coming down, I have information that will destroy Barack Obama, it’s over," Breitbart had told his friend, Chicago radio host Erich “Mancow” Muller.
Breitbart had previously fingered the exceedingly creepy John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman (who was exposed boasting in Wikileaks emails of having set up and placed leftist groups within the Church, with a view to a revolutionary "Catholic Spring").
On 4 February 2011, Breibart tweeted: "How prog-guru John Podesta isn't household name as world class underage sex slave op cover-upperer defending unspeakable dregs escapes me." A comment that gels with graphic information released by Wikileaks last year, involving Podesta and the Clinton milieu (the so-called Pizzagate scandal, which involved occult practices).
Breitbart shook up the criminal Establishment and Muller is in no doubt that his friend was murdered, as a warning to other alternative media figures. "The guy goes for a walk in the middle of the night, he’s about to launch a big website, he’s about to bring down the house of Obama, and he’s dead." (Weeks later, Breitbart's coroner also died suddenly, on the same day city officials had released their preliminary autopsy.)
Murder by heart attack is a perfectly plausible scenario. A 1975 Senate hearing revealed that the CIA assassination arsenal includes a poison dart gun that can penetrate clothing and inject lethal shellfish toxin into the bloodstream of a victim. The poisonous dart completely disintegrates upon entering the target, causing a heart attack that an autoposy is very unlikely to detect as the result of anything other than natural causes. (In violation of a presidential order, the CIA maintained "stocks of shellfish toxin sufficient to kill thousands," a Senate web page explains in relation to the hearing.)
Late last year, 'they' made an even louder statement of intent.
Roger Stone, a friend of Jones and regular Infowars contributor, was poisoned in a less subtle manner — with polonium! A very fit person, his health suddenly deteriorated and eventually he spent two weeks in hospital. "They’re saying it’s national security, because only a state-sponsored actor could have this isotope, which can only be made in the biggest reactors, basically. So it has a ‘signature’," Stone told Jones.
A bestselling author and veteran political operative all over the world, Stone is a long-time friend and informal adviser to Donald Trump. He is also at the very top of Hillary Clinton's "enemies list." However, given the nature of his poisoning, he does not believe it is down to the Clintons. It appears to be the work of the same criminal element within the military and intelligence communities that pushed the Trump/Putin/Russian-hacking nexus throughout the election campaign, and which is now intent on destroying this presidency before it tackles corruption and ushers in peace: thereby halting lucrative scams and trillion-dollar wars. (As I write, they have just had their first major success: using dirty tricks and the Washington Post —the CIA's official leak-outlet — to oust Trump's National Security Advisor, General Flynn.)
Stone attributes his poisoning to these traitors: "I come back to the 'deep state.' I come back to our own people. This is about stopping the Trump agenda. I would blow the whistle on this whole bogus Russian narrative that they just won’t let go of."
In order to sell and sustain their anti-Russian narrative, these agents of the "deep state" have tried to frame Stone as a Russian agent responsible for Wikileaks' exposés and Russian hacking. "For the record," Stone told his interviewer in October, "I have been under constant surveillance. Two of my dogs have been poisoned, and someone regularly rummages through my trash where they will find nothing, since I wasn’t born yesterday." Then, just as he was about to attend a Congressional Hearing on alleged Russian interference in the U.S. election — where, as a star witness, he would have debunked that false narrative — he was poisoned.
When Stone asked Alex Jones what he thought it was all about, Jones replied: "Well, clearly, it’s meant to kill you, and then they just blame the Russians, and say they were getting rid of one of their assets." It makes sense. (Insofar as anything makes sense in the sordid, double-dealing intelligence world.)
During the election campaign, there were, in addition, numerous other 'timely' deaths. Notably, that of Seth Rich, a young Democratic National Committee staffer who worked on a database to increase voter registration. Rich had access to information that also could've debunked the Russian DNC hacking narrative (which casts Crooked Hillary as the victim of international intrigue). Shot four times in the back, allegedly during a robbery of his home, Wikileaks posted a $20,000 reward for information on his shooting, suggesting Rich may have been one of the "internal leaks" Julian Assange repeatedly insisted were providing his data.
I relate these cases to further highlight what's at stake, and what the complicit MSM doesn't tell us. The "deep state" and its MOCKINGBIRD-media will do whatever it takes to prevent exposure of their wickedness at the service of the super-rich. During his October interview, Stone alluded to its magnitude:
I have heard about the information WikiLeaks has in regards to the current U.S. election, war, secret surveillance, arms sales, oil, Internet manipulation and technology transfers. I am told the information is potentially politically devastating and "indictable."
MSM humiliated and bypassed
The ramifications of this entrenched corruption extend far beyond the United States. Yet one looks in vain for sustained and factual MSM coverage of these and many other related stories of huge import both domestically and globally; the reporting of which would greatly assist the new administration to "drain the swamp" and put Washington at the service of the people, rather than vice versa. Far from acting in the interests of the public and the common good, the MSM have turned on their whistle-blowing competition and its figureheads: who must be shut down, and shut up — even terminally.
But they will not be shut up. Nor will the Tweeting President, whose use of alternative media is far ahead of the political curve. Indeed, it is a measure of Trump's understanding (and sincerity) that he gave a Skype interview to the reviled Alex Jones a full six months before he won the Republican nomination: something no other candidate would have dared to do for fear of being slaughtered for associating with the conspiratorial "alt-right." Yet he did not hesitate to reach out to the Infowars audience despised by the elites — the ordinary working people regally dismissed by Queen Hillary as "deplorable" and "irredeemable."
It was December 2015 when Donald Trump made time in his hectic schedule to speak at length with Jones, who was still unsure about him. At the end of that unprecedented interview, Trump reassured one and all that he was the real deal:
I am in this to win it. I’m not in this to say, ‘oh gee I’ve done a really good job’. ... Because we can’t do anything to make our country great if I don’t win. ... I will not let you down. You will be very, very impressed I hope. You’ll be looking at me in a year, two years, just give me a little bit of time to run things. But a year into office, you’ll be saying ‘wow, I remember that interview, he said he was going to do it and he did a great job.' You’ll be very proud of our country.
Fifteen months later, he has not let them down. And if the press has been unable to stop the Trump juggernaut, it is because of his understanding of the power of alternative media and canny use of social media (despite his scant knowledge and use of computers for any other purpose!). He has out-thought, out-foxed, bamboozled and bypassed the lying-dying MSM, leaving it in his wake.
Just days after his victory, on 13 November, he blasted the contemptible New York Times on Twitter: Wow, the @nytimes is losing thousands of subscribers because of their very poor and highly inaccurate coverage of the "Trump phenomena". He followed up on 21 November by calling in all the major media executives and network hosts to Trump Towers for a one-hour "media summit." Rather than smooth the MSM feathers he had ruffled during the campaign, he did not hold back. According to the New York Post, "Trump started with ['Clinton News Network' chief] Jeff Zucker and said: 'I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed'."
He has maintained this pugilistic approach, tweet-blasting "The failing @nytimes" again on 28 January for being "wrong about me from the very beginning. Said I would lose the primaries, then the general election. FAKE NEWS! ... They got me wrong right from the beginning and still have not changed course, and never will. DISHONEST."
On 6 February he tweeted that the Times had fabricated "total fiction concerning me. They have gotten it wrong for two years, and now are making up stories & sources!"
The real knockout punch was delivered during a press conference at which he refuted the infamous 'Russian dossier' first peddled by CNN, as a total fabrication. To a CNN reporter in the unaccustomed position of repeatedly calling out from amid the media scrum in a bid to ask a question, Trump coolly said, "I'm not going to give you a question. You are fake news."
Joining him in this frontal assault is his assistant Steve Bannon. Until last August the chief of Breitbart News, and before that a naval officer and an executive at Goldman Sachs (he also did a stint in Hollywood), Bannon phoned the New York Times on 25 January, and in what the Times reported as "blunt but calm tones," he let rip. "The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while…," he said. "I want you to quote this: The media here is the opposition party. They don't understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States."
Bannon had initiated the phone call in order to praise White House spokesman Sean Spicer, who, as we noted at the outset, had reiterated many of the President's attacks on the MSM about their coverage of his inauguration. In reference to the election result, Bannon reminded the Times that "The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong... a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there."
He concluded his righteous assessment by reminding them that "The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign. Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: They were outright activists of the Clinton campaign. That's why you have no power. You were humiliated."
Bannon's veritable punch to the MSM solar plexus caused what the Times itself called "alarm and defiance" among journalists. But not all MSM scribes are cosseted cry-babies lacking all self-awareness; unable to comprehend how ludicrous they have become.
On 5 February, having previously written that the "media keeps losing to Donald Trump," Michael Wolff, a Newsweek columnist no less, proceeded to call out Brian Stelter, the host of CNN's Reliable Sources, which deals with media in politics. Assuring Stelter he loved his show, Wolff then said: "I mean this with truly no disrespect, but I think you can border on being sort of quite a ridiculous figure. It's not a good look to repeatedly and self-righteously defend your own self-interest. The media should not be the story. Every week in this religious sense, you make it the story. We are not the story."
Stelter shot back, "The media doesn't need defending?"
"The media doesn't need defending by the media," Wolff retorted. "The New York Times front page looks like it's 1938 in Germany every day."
Bare knuckle presidency
The point is this: that far from petty, un-presidential, ego-centric behaviour, as many assume, Trump displays real leadership in calling out a subversive Fourth Estate no longer fit for purpose: a lethal threat to open, dispassionate discussion of public policy, and so to the democratic process itself. Backing up Steve Bannon's depiction of the MSM as the "opposition party," Trump told CBN News that he believes "the dishonesty, total deceit and deception ... makes them certainly partially the opposition party...."
But, he added, "The fortunate thing about me is I have a big voice. I have a voice that people understand. And you see it now."
If we don't, we should. It is precisely because the people do understand and delight in his deconstruction of the deceitful, enslaving Matrix, that the MSM are not merely opposed him, but wish to destroy him. Therefore, taking the fight to this implacable enemy instead of taking any of its defamatory and deceptive nonsense on the chin, is the right choice. Should he waiver or backpedal in the slightest, the "deep state" and its MSM brownshirts will take no prisoners: as already with General Flynn. Besides which, his current strategy is doing him far less harm than one might imagine, and a lot of good into the bargain.
A new national survey conducted by Emerson College Polling, has found that the Trump administration is considered to be truthful by 49% of respondents compared to 48% who think it’s untruthful. In comparison, the news media is considered to be untruthful by 53% of respondents compared to 39% who find it to be truthful — a 14 point credibility gap. But the gap is actually a chasm. It's just that neither the 48% who find the Trump administration untruthful, nor the 39% who find the media truthful, realise the influence of MSM mendacity on their perceptions.
On 9 February, Infowars reported that
A rap sheet compiled by the Daily Wire details forty times the mainstream media was caught lying in the last week alone. President Trump himself shared a link via Twitter to a story that details 16 fake news stories that reporters have run since Trump won. They include hoaxes such as Nancy Sinatra complaining about Trump using her father’s song at the inaugural ball, as well as resignations at the State Department that never happened, and the false claim that Trump had “photoshopped his hands bigger” for a White House photograph.
The constant lies remind us what Donald Trump and his team have perceived like no others: that America is in the middle of a 'soft' civil war. One involving tweets and blogs instead of bullets and bombs, thank goodness. Yet a true counter-revolutionary war, no less: a fight to restore objective reality and the benchmarks of Divine and natural law that differentiate life-giving/life-affirming normality from the abnormality of the satanic revolution we have endured for 50 years — which Luciferian revolt boasts no benchmarks, no boundaries, and no prospect of its bacchanalian descent ever bottoming out.
The gloves, therefore, are rightly and necessarily OFF! Only a bare-knuckle strategy — long required but never tried — can even begin to tackle MSM subversion at the service of the oligarchs.
As Jeanne Mancini, president of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, truly and excitedly said: "We have never seen anything like this in our entire life." We have not. And that's because it is such a rare window of providential opportunity: one Team Trump must exploit to the full before the globalists and their MSM/CIA/FBI minders slam it shut. It is the unfolding of an epochal drama: one we cannot help but watch with guilty pleasure. May God forgive our schadenfreude and grant us strength to truly love our enemies, even as Donald tortures them with red-hot truths which all boil down to one truth: that the MSM — complicit and colluding to a fault — is Fake News Inc.
Surviving the Matrix
Meantime, since Hilaire Belloc's assessment of the mainstream media remains timely and helpful in countering the false reality of the Matrix, we reprint from our February 2008 number a brief review of his little classic, The Free Press. To this Bellocian grist for the mill we add the following words of Sharyl Attkisson: wise counsel the great man would certainly endorse. At the end of her Matrix-shattering tome, Stonewalled, she simply advised:
Do your own research. Consult those you trust. Make up your own mind. Think for yourself.
Always, of course, within the moral and doctrinal framework of our holy Faith; fortified by prayer and the sacraments.
